Connect your Google or Outlook calendar to Coherence
Connecting Calendars
Coherence's calendar integration syncs your meetings and events, automatically linking them to contacts and records for complete relationship context.
Supported Providers
Coherence supports two-way calendar sync with:
- Google Calendar / Google Workspace
- Outlook Calendar / Microsoft 365
Two-way sync means events created in Coherence appear in your calendar app, and vice versa.
Connect Your Calendar
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
- Click on your profile in the bottom of the sidebar
- Select Settings
- Go to Calendar Accounts
Step 2: Add an Account
- Click Connect Calendar
- Choose your provider (Google or Outlook)
- Complete the authentication flow
Step 3: Authorize Access
You'll be redirected to Google or Microsoft to authorize Coherence. We request:
- Read access - To import and display your events
- Write access - To create events from Coherence
- Free/busy access - To show availability for scheduling
Coherence never stores your calendar password. We use secure OAuth tokens provided by Google and Microsoft.

Calendar Settings
Sync Direction

Which Calendars to Sync
If you have multiple calendars:
- Go to Calendar settings
- Toggle each calendar on/off
- Set primary calendar for new events
Event Privacy
Control event visibility in Coherence:

Automatic Linking
Coherence automatically links calendar events to records:
By Attendee Email
- Event has attendees
- Attendee email matches a contact
- Event appears on contact's timeline
By Event Description
Coherence scans event descriptions for:
- Company names
- Deal references
- Record links
Manual Linking
For events that can't be auto-linked:
- Open the event in Coherence
- Click Link to Record
- Search and select the relevant contact or deal
Multiple Calendars
Personal vs. Work
Connect both for complete visibility:
- Work calendar for meetings
- Personal for blocking time
Shared Team Calendars
Access shared calendars:
- Team member shares calendar with you
- Calendar appears in your list
- Toggle sync as needed
Room/Resource Calendars
For meeting rooms:
- Add room calendar to your account
- See room availability
- Book rooms when scheduling
Video Conferencing
Supported Platforms
Coherence detects and displays:
- Google Meet - Auto-generated links
- Zoom - Meeting URLs
- Microsoft Teams - Team meeting links
- Other - Any URL in location field
One-Click Join
From any synced event:
- Click the meeting link
- Opens directly in browser/app
- No copy-paste needed
Troubleshooting
Sync Not Working?
- Check account connection in Settings
- Verify calendar is toggled on
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Events Not Appearing?
- Allow 5-10 minutes for initial sync
- Check if calendar is set to sync
- Verify event isn't marked private
Wrong Timezone?
- Check timezone in calendar settings
- Coherence uses your profile timezone
- Events display in your local time
Missing Attendees?
- Attendees must accept the invite
- External attendees may not match contacts
- Check email matching settings
