Linking to Records
Connect calendar events to contacts, deals, and other records
Linking Events to Records
When calendar events are linked to records, you get complete context on every interaction with your contacts and accounts.
Why Link Events?
Linked events provide:
- Complete timeline - See all meetings on a contact's record
- Preparation - Review history before meetings
- Accountability - Track who met with whom
- Reporting - Measure meeting activity
Automatic Linking
Coherence automatically links events based on:
Attendee Matching
- Event has attendees (from invite)
- Attendee email matches a contact's email
- Event appears on that contact's timeline
For best auto-linking, ensure your contacts have accurate email addresses.
Domain Matching
If attendee email domain matches a company:
- Event links to the company record
- Useful for new contacts at known companies
Reference Detection
Coherence scans event titles and descriptions for:
- Deal names or IDs
- Record URLs
- Company names
- Project references
