Coherence's powerful search helps you find records, emails, and content across your entire workspace in seconds.

Open the search bar in any of these ways:

  • Click the search icon in the header
  • Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows)
  • Press S from anywhere

Type any keyword to search across:

  • Record names and titles
  • Field values
  • Email subject and body
  • Notes and comments

Search Results

Results are grouped by type:

  • Records - Matching records from all modules
  • Emails - Emails containing your search term
  • Files - Attachments and documents

Search within specific fields:

Module Filtering

Limit search to a specific module:

Use quotes for exact matches. Searching John Smith finds records with either word, while "John Smith" finds the exact phrase.

The command bar (Cmd+K) is more than search - it's your command center.

Quick Actions

Type an action name:

  • new contact - Create a new contact
  • settings - Open workspace settings
  • help - Access help resources

Jump to any location:

  • Module names
  • View names
  • Settings pages

Recent Items

The command bar shows recently viewed items for quick access.

  • Finding specific records by name
  • Looking for content in emails or notes
  • Quick navigation to known items

Search Tips

Partial Matches

Search finds partial matches automatically:

  • Searching john finds "Johnson", "Johnny", "John"
  • Searching acme finds "Acme Corp", "Acme Industries"

Typo Tolerance

Minor typos are handled gracefully:

  • Searching jonh still finds "John"
  • Common misspellings are recognized

Relevance Ranking

Results are ranked by relevance:

  1. Exact matches in titles
  2. Partial matches in titles
  3. Matches in other fields
  4. Matches in related records

Saved Searches

  1. Perform your search
  2. Click Save Search
  3. Name your saved search
  4. Access it from the sidebar

Managing Saved Searches

Edit or delete saved searches:

  1. Right-click the saved search
  2. Choose Edit or Delete

Search finds content within:

  • Email subject
  • Email body
  • Sender and recipient names
  • Attachment names

Find entire email threads by searching any message in the thread.

Email Filters

Combine with filters:
