Built into your workspace

The tools to keep work moving.

Take requests wherever they start

Let customers submit through a portal, or have staff create a case for a call, email, or another intake source.

Use your standard record workspace

Find cases with views and filters, adjust the display, and import or export using the same record tools as other modules.

Customize without losing the essentials

Add fields and related-record tabs in Module Builder. Core Case fields stay protected, and the Create Form configuration drives staff intake.

Keep the full conversation together

Read customer replies and internal notes in Activity. Keep longer staff notes in the Details tab.

See the context beside the work

Update status, assignee, account, person, and source in the record sidebar. Attach files and link relevant Knowledge.

Control access through roles

Use the normal Record permissions for viewing, listing, creating, updating, deleting, importing, and exporting Cases.

Questions about Case management

Can staff open a case for someone who calls in?

Yes. Staff can create a case without a portal login and link the caller to a Person record. The Source field can record how the request arrived.

Do customers see internal notes and attachments?

Internal notes and staff-only attachments stay in the workspace. Customer-visible replies and shared attachments follow the portal’s case access rules.

How are cases numbered?

The Case field uses the module autonumber configuration and starts with a CAS prefix. The field itself is protected as part of the Cases system module.
