Built into your workspace

The tools to keep work moving.

Create more than one portal

Give different audiences their own portal name, welcome message, Knowledge bases, and access settings.

Connect invitations to People

Invite existing People whose Type matches the portal’s allowed audience: Customer, Vendor, Partner, or Employee.

Keep portal credentials separate

Invitees receive an email link to set a password. Portal logins are separate from staff workspace accounts and remain linked to the Person record.

Choose public or signed-in access

Let visitors browse published public articles, or require login. Article audience rules still control which content each visitor can read.

Make it recognizable

Upload a logo and choose an accent color. Add a welcome message that helps the audience understand where to start.

Let people follow their cases

Signed-in people can submit requests, read replies, and respond. Staff manages the same work in Cases.

Questions about Portals

Where do administrators manage portals?

Open Portal Settings under Administration. The list supports multiple portals, each with its own settings and audience.

Do visitors need a paid Coherence workspace account?

The organization hosting the portal needs an eligible plan. Invited people use a separate portal login; they do not need to become staff workspace members.

Can we connect a custom domain?

Portals currently use a unique address hosted by Coherence. Custom domain and subdomain connection is not available yet.
