Lovable Alternative for Customer Operations: Coherence Sites

Considering a Lovable alternative? Compare building a custom app with Coherence Sites, CRM, and Campaigns for running customer operations in one workspace.

A founder asks an AI builder for a service-business website. The first draft looks convincing. Then come the less visible requirements: where inquiries go, who follows up, which emails a customer receives, and where the team manages the work it just sold.

Those requirements change the buying decision. You might need a custom application. You might also need an existing customer operations platform with a website creator built in.

Coherence is a Lovable alternative for teams that want to run a website, CRM, email campaigns, and customer work in one workspace. Lovable is the more appropriate starting point when building and owning a custom application is the goal. This comparison helps you decide which job you actually have.

Building an application or running customer operations?

By customer operations, we mean the work of capturing an inquiry, maintaining the relationship, coordinating communication, and delivering what the customer needs.

Lovable describes itself as a full-stack AI development platform. It generates applications with frontend, backend, database, authentication, and integrations, backed by editable code. Its documentation explicitly includes CRMs, portals, and internal tools among the applications you can build.

So the distinction is not whether Lovable can make a CRM. It can. The decision is whether you want to define and maintain your own application's behavior, or configure an existing platform's supported workflows.

Coherence starts with the latter. Sites, customer records, Campaigns, tasks, projects, documents, and team Chat already have defined roles in the workspace. You configure the connections your business needs.

We publish Coherence, and this is our editorial recommendation. We reviewed current vendor documentation and Coherence's product documentation on September 21, 2026. We did not run a comparative usability or performance benchmark.

Where Coherence makes the better fit

Imagine a small consultancy offering an assessment. This is an illustrative evaluation scenario, not a customer case study.

The consultancy needs a landing page, an inquiry record, an owner, a short educational email series for people who opt in, and a project once work begins. Its competitive advantage comes from the assessment itself. Creating a new software product is incidental work.

In Coherence, the team can build the page in Sites and configure an eligible form to create a record in the appropriate module. Mapping the actual fields matters: the requested service and the visitor's question should survive the submission, not disappear into a generic notification. The form-to-CRM guide explains that setup.

The next step is deliberate configuration. A form submission does not automatically authorize marketing email. For eligible recipients, Campaigns supports record-based or external-event enrollment and recipient-relative email journeys. A person joining next week can begin at the first message on their own timeline. See campaign enrollment and timed journeys.

The people handling the inquiry can also manage tasks, documents, and project work in the same platform. That is the useful meaning of all-in-one here: the website opens into the place where the team operates the relationship.

When to stay with Lovable

Keep Lovable on the shortlist if the deliverable is a bespoke application: a novel marketplace, an unusual interactive tool, or software whose behavior is itself the product. Editable code and application flexibility matter more in that decision than having a ready-made operating workspace.

Coherence Sites is designed for editable marketing and content surfaces, including landing pages, blogs, documentation, and resource hubs. Its Sites overview recommends a hybrid approach for deeply custom application experiences. It should not be presented as a replacement for arbitrary full-stack development.

You also do not need to rebuild a working custom application just to consolidate tools. Evaluate whether moving a specific customer process would improve daily work before planning a full migration.

Compare the cost of the complete workflow

The meaningful comparison includes creation, operation, and maintenance. For a custom application, list the work needed to specify permissions, maintain integrations, handle exceptions, and change the application as the business changes.

For Coherence, check the current workspace plan, required capacity, and AI usage. Campaigns also requires a connected Postmark, SendGrid, or Resend account; include the provider's costs and sender setup. See supported sending providers.

Review Lovable's current subscription plans against your own usage. A builder subscription and an operating workspace are different purchases; neither a universal savings figure nor a blanket “cheaper” claim would settle this choice.

A useful trial: follow one inquiry to completion

Give each approach the same small brief. Create one page, submit an inquiry, inspect the resulting record, assign the next action, and configure a short opted-in email journey. Then change one field in the form and one step in the process.

Record which changes the operator can make, which require application work, and whether the inquiry remains understandable to the person delivering the service. This is a proposed evaluation, not a test result we are claiming.

Can I import my existing website into Coherence?

Coherence supports importing an existing page from a URL into editable sections. Suitability depends on the page. A URL import is not a guaranteed migration of custom application logic, authentication, or databases. Review Sites importing guidance and test one representative page first.

Does Coherence automatically send emails after a form submission?

Only when an appropriate supported workflow has been configured and published, with eligible recipients and a connected sending provider. Creating a form is separate from approving a campaign. Coherence agents should not be described as autonomously reading or sending email.

If you want the software to become your product, evaluate an application builder. If you want the website to bring customers into a system your team can already operate, start with Coherence Sites.
