Campaign Audiences

Create static and dynamic recipient lists for campaign emails

An audience is a reusable recipient list for a broadcast email. Open Campaigns → Audiences to create, preview, edit, archive, or delete audiences.

Audiences and campaign Enrollment are related but different:

UseControls
AudienceWho receives a standalone or broadcast email when that send is prepared
EnrollmentWho enters a multi-step campaign journey and when their personal timeline begins

For a timed learning or onboarding series, configure the campaign's Enrollment tab. Do not rely on an email's Audience to enroll people into the journey.

Dynamic audiences

A dynamic audience resolves matching records from a source module at send time.

  1. Click New audience.
  2. Enter a name and optional description.
  3. Select a module that contains an email field, such as People, Leads, or a custom module.
  4. Choose Dynamic.
  5. Add optional filter conditions.
  6. Create the audience and preview its recipients.

With no conditions, the audience matches every source-module record that has an email address. Add conditions using ALL when every condition must match, or ANY when one matching condition is enough.

Because resolution occurs at send time, records added later can become part of the audience automatically when they match the filters.

Static audiences

A static audience contains an explicit member list.

  1. Create the audience with Static selected.
  2. Reopen it after creation.
  3. Add member email addresses.
  4. Add exclusions for addresses that must not receive the email.

Use a static audience for a controlled list that should not change merely because module records change.

Exclusions and suppression

Audience exclusions are useful for campaign-specific list shaping. They are separate from the workspace suppression list.

  • An audience exclusion removes an address from that audience.
  • A suppression prevents marketing email from the workspace from being sent to the address, even if the address appears in an audience or enrollment.

Always preview a new or materially changed audience before sending.

Product signup audiences

The Coherence vendor workspace can also use Product signups as an audience source. This source reads the product's Account, User, and Role data directly and does not create CRM People records.

Available recipient selections include:

  • Initial signup for each account
  • Current account owner
  • Account admins
  • Owners and admins
  • All active users

An optional signup window can restrict results by signup date.

Product signups is vendor-only and appears only in the configured Coherence workspace. Normal customer workspaces use modules, imports, integrations, the Campaign API, or external events for their own recipient data.
