Connect Zoom to Coherence so every booking gets its own unique Zoom meeting
Connect your Zoom account to Coherence so that every meeting booked through your scheduling links automatically gets its own unique Zoom meeting — no shared personal meeting room, no copy-pasting links.
Adding the Zoom integration
- In Coherence, go to Settings > Communications
- Scroll to the Conferencing card
- Click Connect Zoom
- Sign in to Zoom (if you aren't already) and click Allow to authorize Coherence
- You'll be returned to Coherence and the card will show your connected Zoom account
Permissions required
Coherence requests only the Zoom permissions needed to manage the meetings that belong to your bookings:
- Create a meeting — creates a unique scheduled meeting for each new booking
- Update a meeting — keeps the meeting in sync if a booking changes
- Delete a meeting — removes the meeting when a booking is cancelled
- View your profile — shows which Zoom account is connected in your settings
Coherence stores only the meeting ID and join link for each booking. It never reads your other meetings, recordings, or chats.
Using the integration
- Open Settings > Communications > Scheduling Links and create or edit a link
- Set the location to Video call with Zoom as the provider, and leave the meeting link field empty
- Share your scheduling link
When someone books:
- A unique Zoom meeting is created in your Zoom account for that booking
- The join link is included in the guest's confirmation email, the calendar invite, and the booking details
- If the booking is cancelled, the Zoom meeting is deleted automatically
If you prefer to always use your personal meeting room instead, paste its URL into the meeting link field on the scheduling link — Coherence will use that and skip creating unique meetings.
Removing the integration
You can disconnect at any time, from either side:
- From Coherence: go to Settings > Communications > Conferencing and click Disconnect. Coherence revokes its token with Zoom and deletes its stored credentials.
- From Zoom: open the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage > Added Apps, find Coherence, and click Remove. Zoom notifies Coherence, which deactivates the connection and deletes its stored credentials.
Existing bookings keep their already-created meeting links; new bookings fall back to "link to be provided" until you reconnect or set a static meeting link.
Troubleshooting
- "Zoom integration is not configured" — your workspace administrator hasn't enabled Zoom; contact them or support.
- Connection shows "Needs attention" — your Zoom authorization expired or was revoked. Click Reconnect on the Conferencing card.
- A booking didn't get a unique link — confirm the scheduling link's location is Video call + Zoom with an empty meeting link field, and that your Conferencing card shows an active connection.
