Configuring Autopilot

Set up schedules, focus areas, and agent behavior for Autopilot

Autopilot is configured from the Autopilot page, accessible to workspace admins with the autopilot:manage permission.

Enabling Autopilot

  1. Go to Autopilot in the sidebar
  2. Toggle Autopilot on in the Settings tab
  3. Choose a schedule (daily, custom, or manual-only)
  4. Click Save

When enabled for the first time, Coherence will:

  • Create a dedicated AI agent called Coherence Autopilot
  • Open an Agent DM channel for briefings
  • Create a Mission document in Collab for long-term context

Focus Areas

Focus areas tell Autopilot what to prioritize. Without them, Autopilot reviews everything — with them, it narrows its attention.

Examples of focus areas:

  • "Follow up on deals that haven't been touched in 7+ days"
  • "Research new leads from the healthcare industry"
  • "Prepare daily summaries of pipeline changes"

The Mission Document

The Mission document lives in Collab and is tagged with mission. Autopilot reads it at the start of every cycle. Use it to describe:

  • Your business goals and priorities
  • Key accounts or deals to watch
  • Processes or workflows Autopilot should follow
  • Anything you want Autopilot to consistently remember

Viewing History

The History tab shows all past Autopilot cycles with:

  • Cycle status (completed, failed, running)
  • Tasks planned and executed
  • Full briefing content
  • Duration and token usage

Running a Manual Cycle

Click Run Now from the Autopilot Overview tab to trigger an immediate cycle. The cycle streams progress in real-time via the activity panel.

Manual cycles can take several minutes depending on how many tasks Autopilot plans. The page will show live progress as each task executes.
