Configuring Sources
Set up monitoring sources to discover relevant conversations

- Select the platform (e.g., Reddit)

Start with 2-3 highly relevant sources, then expand based on what works.
Source Settings
Filters
Configure optional filters to reduce noise:
- Minimum score - Only capture posts with a certain upvote count
- Minimum comments - Focus on posts generating discussion
- Exclude keywords - Skip posts containing certain terms
Polling Frequency
Sources are checked every 5 minutes by default. High-priority sources can be checked more frequently.
Best Practices
Start Specific
Broad sources create noise. Instead of monitoring "business", try:
- ✅
r/SaaS- Specific, relevant community - ✅
"CRM for agencies"- Targeted search query - ❌
r/business- Too broad, low signal
Use Intent Keywords
Include phrases that indicate buying intent:
"recommendations for"
"looking for"
"best tool for"
"anyone use"
"switching from"
"alternative to"
Combine Subreddits and Keywords
Monitor both the community and specific queries:
- Source 1:
r/sales(community) - Source 2:
"sales automation tool"(intent query)
Monitor Competitors
Search for competitor mentions to find dissatisfied users:
"Salesforce alternative"
"tired of HubSpot"
"leaving Pipedrive"
